iCurrency Plus

The Watched Rates Screen

This is the main page of the application. In this page you can watch your favorite currency pairs as well as adding new ones.

When adding a currency pair, not only the two currencies involved are selected, but also the number of hours (or days) that you want to compare the rates against. By doing this, the application will show you the current rate and the change in that rate compared to those number of hours or days ago.

The application also allows you to define for each pair a percentage number. When the difference in the rate compared to the number of hours or days ago is greater that this number, an extra arrow is shown for this pair, even a push can be sent. You will be informed when critical changes happen in any of the currency pairs of your choice.

In order to show the push status of each currency pair, a colored led has been added. This is the meaning of each color:

Green BlinkingGreen blinking: a push was recently sent, confirming that the pair had changed in the past hours or days more than targeted.
Green OnGreen on: a push was sent a few hours ago about that pair, and you have already seen that information. However, that pair in question still has changed more than what was originally set up. An arrow at the end confirms this information.
Green OffGreen off: the pair is set to send a push if the conditions set is met. The application is in stand by waiting for that condition to be met.
Yellow BlinkingYellow blinking: a push was sent, however from the moment the push was sent until the current moment you are checking the application the conditions are now not met. In other words, a currency got stronger or weaker than your settings but now is back to normal.
Red OnRed on: push is disabled for that pair and although the arrow will be shown if the condition is met, a push will not be sent.

There are three commands that can be done in this screen:

Use this button to add new pairs.

Swaps the change value to percentage and vice versa.

Updates the rates. Rates are captured in the server every 20 minutes, so pressing this button may not necessarily cause any changes.
